At our clinic, we use the GentleLase Pro-U system. This system is widely used for laser hair removal. Its operating speed allows treatment areas to be covered quickly and precisely. The treatment is generally well tolerated. Mild discomfort or a sensation of warmth may occur and is reduced by the cooling system. The main purpose of the procedure is to target hair follicles in order to achieve a long-lasting reduction in unwanted hair.
How Does the Laser Hair Removal System Work?
The laser uses a light beam with a wavelength of 755 nm. It is most effective on hairs that are in the active growth phase, known as the anagen phase. Laser energy is absorbed by the melanin in the hair and targets the hair follicle, helping to prevent future hair growth.
By interacting with melanin, the natural pigment in the hair, laser energy primarily targets structures within the hair follicle. For different treatment areas, our specialists select appropriate treatment settings, including a spot diameter of up to 18 mm. This allows larger areas of skin to be treated relatively quickly.

After the Treatment
Between laser hair removal sessions, shaving is recommended as the only method of hair removal. Hair should not be removed from the root using waxing, sugaring, tweezers or an epilator, as the hair follicle needs to remain in the treatment area for the next laser session.
